Mario Puzo signed first edition, second printing of ''The Godfather'', his 1969 novel that was adapted into the iconic Academy Award winning film. Signed by Puzo on the red front free endpaper in black felt-tip, ''For Jacqueline / With Best Wishes / Mario Puzo''. Bound in cream and black boards, with a gilt image of a puppet master's hand on the front board, and lettering in gilt to spine. Measures 6'' x 8.5'' and runs 446pp. With original dust jacket showing price of $6.95. Some chipping and creasing to jacket. Book has light wear and slightly loose spine, overall in very good plus condition.
