Original ''Blue Marble'' photo, taken by the crew of Apollo 17 showing, for the first time, a perfectly round Earth fully illuminated; one of the most famous and reproduced photos of the 20th century. Chromogenic print is mounted to a NASA presentation mat, with the photo number stamped to verso, ''AS 17 148 227 27'', consistent with presentation photos given shortly after the 1972 mission. Photo measures 9.75'' x 7.75'', with mat measuring 14'' x 11''. Light toning to mat, and a few indiscernible surface scratches to photo, overall near fine condition.
