Benjamin Franklin Porcelain Bust Sculpture from the Famed Sèvres Factory

Near fine sculpture of Benjamin Franklin made of bisque porcelain by the famed French Sèvres factory. Circa 1921, sculpture is modeled after an 18th century design when Franklin attained celebrity status throughout Europe. With impressed oval Sèvres mark of ''S 1921 DN'' and ''GR'' on bust, as well as overglazed red triangular mark of ''Dore a Sèvres'' on the cobalt and gilt pedestal. Measures 13.5'' high including pedestal. Near fine condition.
