Document signed by France's last King before the French Revolution, King Louis XVI who here appoints Captain Claude St. Denis de las Salle to the Regiment of Orleans. Dated May 1786, partly printed document is also signed by Louis Joseph de Bourbon, the Prince of Conde. Folds, and repaired slits at sides, with some paper infill. Very good condition with a prominent signature by Louis XVI.
