The ''United States Telegraph Extra'' newspaper, datelined Washington, D.C. on 8 October 1832. Published by Duff Green, the ''Extra'' was issued for a brief time in 1828 to promote the Presidential candidacy of Andrew Jackson, and then again in 1832, although by that time Green had lost influence with Jackson by supporting the Calhoun faction in the Petticoat Affair. In this issue, Green discusses communication between Jackson and an ailing James Monroe, the Seminole Wars and other D.C. intrigue. Paper runs 16pp. and measures approximately 6.5'' x 9.5''. Rough edges, and light wear and toning. Very good condition.
