Original animation cel from Disney's 1938 short ''Ferdinand the Bull'', featuring Ferdinand with a flower on his nose, unwilling to fight the angry matador. Based upon the best selling children's book, called by LIFE magazine ''the greatest juvenile classic since 'Winnie the Pooh''', ''Ferdinand the Bull'' won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1938. Celluloid is on a Courvoisier background, with both Disney and Courvoisier labels on verso confirming that the cel was used in the film. Cel measures 9'' x 8'', on Disney mat measuring 16'' square. Near fine condition.
