Simon Bolivar 1820 Document Signed as the First President of Gran Colombia -- During the War for Independence From Spain, Bolivar Orders that All Available Troops March Against the Province of Mompox

Simon Bolivar document signed, composed on his letterhead as President of the Republic of Colombia, his title after initial victories against the Spanish government in South America. Dated 20 February 1820 during continued fighting, Boliver writes to the Commander General of the Antioquia Province, ordering all available troops to march against the Province of Mompox. Boldly signed ''Bolivar'' at the conclusion. Two page document on a single sheet measures 6.75'' x 9''. Folds and uniform toning, otherwise near fine condition.
