Collection of 27 unpublished photographs from the ''Apocalypse Now'' set, most taken by on-set photographer Michael Salisbury. Large photos measure 14'' x 11'', several showing director Francis Ford Coppola on the river boat in the Philippines where filming took place, a notoriously grueling shoot that lasted over a year. Other photos feature stills from the set, many of Vietnamese actors and children, and some also showing Salisbury who writes notes in red on the margins on a few, such as ''More Details in Faces''. Nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director, ''Apocalypse Now'' is considered one of the greatest films in the history of cinema. Most photos are double-weight matte, with at least one glossy photo, all housed in Salisbury's black portfolio measuring 15.5'' x 17.75''. Two of the photos are duplicates.
