Coffee mug for ''Blood Alley'' given by John Wayne to stuntman Frank McGrath, who worked with Wayne in many of his films. Starting in the early 1950s, Wayne famously started giving custom-made coffee mugs to the cast and crew of his movies. Although their design differed with each movie, they all had the signature gold handle. This mug reads ''Frankie From Duke'' on one side and ''Blood Alley'' on the other, underneath an illustration of the ship from the film. With the Wallace China stamp on the underside, the china company used for Wayne's mugs, as well as a stamp from Bob Williams of Santa Ana, CA, who owned The Mug Shop, the broker who sold the mugs to Wayne. Measures 3.75'' tall and 3.25'' wide, not including handle. Light wear, overall very good condition.
