Complete issue comprising twenty-six pages of original ''Sugar and Spike'' comic art hand-drawn by creator Sheldon Mayer, from the October-November 1959 issue #25. Pages include the stories ''A Day at the Beach'' (6 pages complete), ''Something Special'' (1 page complete), ''Pint-Size Pin-Ups'' (2 pages complete), ''Sugar's Problem'' (3 pages complete), ''Grampa's Music Thing'' (1 page complete), ''First Echo'' (4 pages complete), ''Write Your Own Comic Page!'' (1 page complete), ''The Big Ha-Ha Time'' (2 pages complete), and ''Look Out! Here Comes Billy Borrower Again!'' (6 pages complete). A copied page for ''Look at All the Letters from Our Readers!'' is also included. Large pages of original artwork by Mayer each measure approximately 12.25'' x 20'' on thick illustration paper, some with partial ''Comics Magazine Code Authority'' approved stamp to versos. Also with DC Comics header at top of most pages, and signed or initialed by Mayer on several pages. Light wear, overall in near fine condition. From the Sheldon Mayer estate.
