Fifteen pages of original ''Sugar and Spike'' comic art hand-drawn by creator Sheldon Mayer, from the March 1958 issue #14 where our two protagonists are visited by the doctor. Loved by fans during its run from 1956-1971, ''Sugar and Spike'' features the antics of two toddlers who communicate with each other in baby-talk, a secret language indecipherable to adults. Pages include the stories '' Visit from the Ahhh-Man!'' (6 pages complete), ''A Fish Story'' (1 page complete), ''The Supermarket'' (4 pages complete), ''Pint-Size Pin-Ups'' (2 pages complete), ''Write Your Own Comic Page!'' (1 page complete), and ''Who'll Fix the Fix-It Thing?'' (1 page complete). Also with additional copied page, ''Hey! Look at Our Mail!''. Large pages of original artwork by Mayer each measure approximately 12.75'' x 21.5'' on thick illustration paper, one with Mayer's stamp on verso, and most also with DC Comics header at top. Additionally signed or initialed by Mayer on several pages. Light wear, overall in very good to near fine condition. From the Sheldon Mayer estate.
