The Navigator of the Enola Gay signs a photo of the aircraft, writing in full, ''The first atomic bomb was dropped from 30,600 ft. It exploded 45 seconds late, about 1800 feet above the ground. The city of Hiroshima was devastated, but millions of lives both Japanese and Allied were saved.
