Franklin D. Roosevelt signed photo in 1932 as Governor of New York of his ''turkey cabinet'', a group of influential Democratic leaders whom FDR would lunch with before the weekly meeting of the legislature. Cold turnkey sandwiches would often be served, hence the name. Roosevelt and the men sign the photographic border, with FDR signing his full name. He inscribes the photo to the New York Senator, ''For Henry Schackno - regular member - who must be in the next picture - Franklin D. Roosevelt''. Piece measures 16.75'' x 13.5''. Light soiling confined to border, and uniform toning. Overall very good condition with a bold signature by Roosevelt.
