John Adams free franked signature, composed on a sheet addressed to James H. Cousteen Esq. of Baltimore. Signed ''J. Adams'' with a return address of Quincy, Massachusetts on 9 May (no year). Sheet measures 9.75'' x 7.875''. Likely signed in the later years of Adams' life, although signature is bold. Small holes at fold, and a hole at top from wax seal. Very good condition. With University Archives COA.
