Paul McCartney and Wings set of two original production master tapes for the iconic 1970s album ''Band on the Run'', used to make the vinyl records in Australia beginning in 1973 when the album debuted. Each quarter-inch tape measures 10.5'' in diameter, housed in its original EMI Recording Studios box, with one tape comprised of the Side 1 tracks and one tape Side 2 tracks. These masters are one of only a small number sent to regional record companies to press the vinyl albums for their local markets, perhaps the only ones extant apart from the original master. Tapes are housed in covers with ''Band on the Run'' record labels attached, and then in EMI boxes measuring 11'' x 10.75'', with ''816/25N 45690'' stamped on bottom. Very good condition. Accompanied by original 1973 Australian pressing of the album.
