First edition, first printing of Ernest Hemingway's ''Men Without Women'' housed in the first printing unclipped dust jacket. Volume is comprised of 14 short stories, several considered to be Hemingway's finest work. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1927. Book weighs 15.5 oz. (compared to 15 oz. for the second printing), with additional first printing points present: the date of 1927 on title page, and unbattered page number ''3''. First printing dust jacket shows $2.00 price, and contains no review blurbs on front flap. Book measures 5.25'' x 7.625''. Handsomely bound in black boards with gilt text block on front cover and spine. Goldenrod endpapers show a charging bull. Minute cocking to spine, and previous owner's stamp on front free endpaper; very good plus condition. Dust jacket has some loss of paper on spine, light soiling and creasing; very good condition.
