Poem reads,

"June 7th 1925
June 7th 1932

Seven short years ago to-day
I vowed I'd cherish you,
I said I'd love you and obey,
I've done the best I knew.

Have I succeeded Beansie dear?
Are you contented with your lot?
Oh I know you'd rather have me near!
Than just the dreams you say you've got.

These first short seven years have flown,
With love my lot I've cast,
My bliss no man has ever known
My heart's yours to the last.

And as we go through life's confusion
With a laugh and a tear and groan,
Of all this wide world's tinsled illusion,
I love but you and Joan

So here's hopeing we'll ride high through the next,
We'll break from the post real fast
Acting like thoroughbreds and no pretext
I'm sure our love will last.

Your Beansie. Always."
