"Joan darling:-- I hope you are well. I'm feeling okay. Received a very sweet letter from you to-day in fact the sweetest, most clearly written and the neatest of any you have ever sent me. And it sure made me very happy. I'm so happy too that you like the play suit I sent you and that it fits you so well. I'm glad to hear that your are haveing loads of fun. Remember while you are haveing your fun that you must be a good girl and take your rest and be well behaved. I am anxiously waiting to receive the cookies you made. I'm sure I'll like them and I'll pass them around to all the acts on the bill when I get them and tell the that my snookie Joan made them for her daddies very own.
I always leave a forwarding address so don't worry about it. Boy and am I waiting to get Paul's picture. I would sure love to have one of you darling. All I have of you is the little head when you were six weeks old. Thanks for writing about mother receiving the money order. I was waiting to hear about them.
I can't get over how nicely you wrote this letter. Take care of my little Skipper. Don't play rough with him. Don't let him walk too much until his legs get real strong. And watch him closely honey. Keep your eye on him for me. See that he doesn't put things into his mouth.
I have a few nice things for you when I get home. Kiss Paul and Billy for me. Good night little Pal and Sweetheart. You're my big girl now.
