Churchill writes to Commodore Gordon Allen, part of Churchill's ''Syndicate'' who helped him write his WWII memoir, ''The Second World War'', a hugely popular series of books published from 1948-1953. In this letter, Churchill thanks Allen ''for agreeing to represent us at the memorial Service for Admiral [Andrew] Cunningham. I am glad that you can be there...[signed] Winston S. Churchill''. Single page letter measures 7.5'' x 9.5''. Folds, otherwise near fine condition.
