Woodrow Wilson military document signed as President, appointing F. Irving Hull to 1st Cavalry Lieutenant on 12 January 1917, as the United States prepared for entry into World War I that would occur three months later in April. Document features blue paper seal and military vignettes, countersigned by Secretary of War Newton D. Baker. Measures 16'' x 20''. Light creasing and toning to document, with chips to margins at upper left. Overall very good condition. Accompanied by another military appointment from August 1917, unsigned by the President.
