A beautiful example of one of the most collectible Presidential campaign buttons, the 1.25'' Alf Landon ''Land On'' Washington button for his 1936 campaign. This clever design shows Landon in a plane (capitalizing on the popularity of aviation at the time) about to descend on Washington, DC. Pin measures 1.25'' in diameter, with none of the usual foxing typically found on these buttons. With fully intact celluloid, in near fine condition. This is one of only approximately 50 examples of this button known to exist.
