The acclaimed 19th century novelist writes about a stay in Paris, and references Congressman Daniel Barnard of New York. Undated letter reads in part, ''My dear Ogden, This letter will be handed to you by Mr. Barnard of Rochester...a member of Congress from our State...Yours very truly, J. Fenimore Cooper''. Single page on card-style stationery measures 5'' x 7.75''. Tape reinforcement along left edge. Separation starting at bottom of vertical fold, overall very good condition.
