Woodrow Wilson signed ''A History of the American People'', rarely found as signed in the ''Alumni Edition'', a limited edition for Princeton alumni published shortly after Wilson became President of the University in 1902. New York: Harper & Brothers, 1902. Set contains the signed Vol. I, as well Vols. III and IV, lacking Vols. II and V of the set. Volume I is elegantly signed #61 of 350, a perfect, bold example of Wilson's signature, from a time that elevated the art of penmanship. Volumes have deckled edges, bound in white and grey boards with tan spine labels. Some shelf wear and mild soiling to boards. Interiors are mostly clean. Top portion of rear joint of Vol. I has started to tear. Overall a very good set.
