Samuel Adams military document signed as Governor of Massachusetts, dated 11 September 1794. Adams appoints Abiah Bliss Jr. as Lieutenant in the Militia of the Massachusetts Commonwealth. Elegantly signed ''Samuel Adams'' below the seal on the left side, countersigned by John Avery, Jr. as Massachusetts Secretary. Measures 15.75'' x 12.25''. Separation starting along folds and small chips to margin. Overall very good condition.
