Dwight Moody signed copy of ''Gospel Hymns: Nos. 1 to 6 Complete'' by Ira D. Sankey, James McGranahan and George C. Stebbins. Published by Biglow & Main Co.: New York: 1894. Sankey, a well-known 19th century gospel singer and composer, joined evangelist Dwight Moody to publish books of Christian hymns. This is a compilation of six previous editions of ''Gospel Hymns.'' Moody writes upon the flyleaf, ''To my friend Mrs. C.C. Harrington / This book contains the hymns sung in our meetings during the past twenty-one years. They have cheered many a pilgrim on the journey to the new Jerusalem. May they be a joy and blessing to you. D.L. Moody / New Year 1895''. The 688pp. hymnal contains 739 songs. Brown cloth boards with gilt measures 6'' x 9''. Minor separation of title page and general light toning. Overall in very good condition.
