Queen Victoria signed document dated 13th of May 1838, the first year of her reign and dawn of the Victorian age. Her majesty signs ''Victoria R'' in very large letters to the top of the first page of the patent, which runs 3pp. on card-style stationery. Eliezer Chater Wilson of Skinner Street in Snow Hill, London is the recipient of the patent for an innovation in ''evaporation''. Document bears a London stamp and a one pound, ten shillings seal. Measures 7.75'' x 12.25'' closed. Toning to edges and creasing along folds, else near fine.
