First edition of Ernest Hemingway's post-WWI classic, ''A Farewell to Arms''. New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1929. Bound in black boards with gilt block-lettering, and housed in a first edition dust jacket showing the original $2.50 price and misspelled heroine's name on the front flap. Book has light shelf wear and a repaired rear endpaper hinge; very good plus condition. Measures 5.75'' x 7.75''. Dust jacket is good to very good, with darkening at the jacket spine and rear panel, shelf wear, and professional restoration at the opposite side of the jacket.
