15th U.S. President, James Buchanan signed partial passport for an unidentified gentleman dated 2 September 1848. The document lists some of the man's physical features on the left side, ''Eyes: Hazel / Nose: Medium'' and is signed at the bottom ''James Buchanan''. The 17'' x 11'' document features the Great Seal of the United States and a large eagle illustration. Large areas of paper loss to left and right sides, scattered soiling and toning. Overall in good condition. Signature itself remains quite bold and untouched.
