Original photo of the barb-wire fenced moat and prison of the Dachau concentration camp. Taken during the camp's liberation in 1945 by a U.S. combat cameraman, who chillingly captures the bleak and isolated nature of the first Nazi concentration camp. Black and white glossy photo measures 4.5'' x 3.5''. Marked on verso, ''Velox'', dating the photo to the 1940s before Velox was purchased by Eastman Kodak. An almost identical photo can be found in the collection of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Near fine condition.
