Garth Williams initialed proof print for ''Little House on the Prairie'', the second in Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved series. The prairie is rendered in gentle strokes, with soft grass and contented birds. Williams was known for his animal renderings from the Little Golden books to ''Charlotte's Web''. The 9'' x 4.5'' print is the size it appears in the book and initialed in ink by Williams; ''3.05066'' is penciled on verso. 3'' triangle of paper missing from corner, not affecting illustration. Some creasing. Very good condition.
