Garth Williams Signed Print From 1953 Edition of ''Little House on the Prairie'' -- Two Native Americans Wait While Ma Cooks at the Hearth

Garth Williams illustration for Laura Ingalls Wilder's ''Little House on the Prairie'' series of books, initialed by the artist. Drawn for the 1953 reissue of the ''Little House'' series, this proof print shows an alarmed Baby Carrie watching from the bed as Ma stirs a pot on the hearth; two Osage Native Americans stand on the tidy wood floor. The print measures 5.5'' x 5.5'', the same size it appears in the book, and is initialed in pencil by Williams; ''3.05073'' is penciled on verso. Near fine condition.
