Published by Richardson, Lord and Holbrook: Boston: 1831. Signed on the original printed wrapper to Congressman and Vice Presidential candidate John Sergeant, in full: ''John Sergeant Esq / from his friend / J.Q. Adams''. 40 page speech is bound in modern brown cloth over boards with title in gilt on a leather spine label. Measures 6.25'' x 10''. Original pages show light to moderate toning. Signature page is toned with some abrasions. Overall in very good condition.
