''Blondie'' comic strip hand-drawn and signed by Chic Young from 9 May 1933, featuring Blondie, Dagwood and the Bumsteads. In this 4 frame strip, Mr. Bumstead begs Dagwood to divorce Blondie, which he refuses to do even though he has to give up all his wealth. In so doing, Chic Young masterfully transitioned Blondie and Dagwood to a life that Americans could relate to during and after the Great Depression. Measures 19.75'' x 5.25''. Very good condition.
