''Blondie'' comic strip hand-drawn and signed by Chic Young from 16 January 1931, featuring Blondie, Dagwood and the Bumstead parents. In this 6 frame strip, Dagwood is made temporary president of his father's railroad company, so that Blondie, ''the heiress'' sitting on a pile of cash, would marry him. Strip is an excellent recap of the plot, about four months into its existence. Strip measures 19.75'' x 5.25''. Uniform toning, otherwise near fine.
