Scarce Muhammad Ali signed Kentucky Derby program, signed as ''Cassius Clay''. Ali, considered the greatest boxer of all time, converted to Islam in 1964 and changed his name from Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali. Boldly signed ''Cassius Clay'' to cover of program insert from the 89th running of the Kentucky Derby on 4 May 1963. Insert, a guide to the Kentucky Derby Museum, measures 5.5'' x 8.5'' and runs 13pp. Lot also includes the full Kentucky Derby program measuring 4'' x 9''. Toning and slight staining to insert, not affecting quality of the signature. The name of Paul Major, who acquired Ali's autograph, also appears to the signature page. Very good. With PSA/DNA COA.
