Autograph musical quotation from ''Statements, for orchestra'' by composer Aaron Copland, signed November 1936. Copland wrote over 100 compositions in his lifetime and won an Academy Award in 1949 for his score for ''The Heiress''. Written on the sheet of music are six bars from ''Statements, for orchestra'', which Copland worked on between 1932-1935. Copland signs his name in full at lower right, including the date, ''Nov 1936''. Matted with a 5.5'' x 7'' profile photograph. Measures 13.75'' x 19.25'' overall. Near fine condition.
