President John Tyler autograph letter signed, sent from Tyler's home on Sherwood Forest Plantation in Charles City, Virginia. Letter, written on lined paper and dated 15 January 1850, reads ''Dear Sir: Your letter of the 31st December requesting my Autograph was duly recievd [sic], and it affords me pleasure to comply with your request. / Very respectfully yrs / John Tyler''. Measures 7.75'' x 10''. Folds and some foxing. Very good plus condition.
