Stunning panoramic photo taken prior to the 1956 Indy 500, won that year by Pat Flaherty with an average speed of 128.49 mph. Photo features every competing driver, as well as members of the press, pit crew, starter and many others, including fans in the grandstands. Front and center in the photo are the bricks which were initially laid in 1909. Taken by photographer O'Dell Shields, photo measures 33'' x 10'', attached to foam board measuring 34'' x 11''. Some wear to foam board on back, photo itself is near fine.
