Abraham Lincoln autograph note signed as President on 27 March 1862. Lincoln responds to a letter by Senator James F. Windsor, requesting the appointment of William Warren as Quartermaster in Iowa. Lincoln hand-writes, ''Let the appointment of William A. Warren, as written requested, be made. / A. Lincoln / March 27, 1862.'' Countersigned by Secretary of War Edwin Stanton. Light uniform toning and separation starting along folds, overall very good plus condition. With COA from PSA/DNA.
