Maternity dress worn by Jacqueline Kennedy in 1960, while she was pregnant with son John F. Kennedy, Jr. Cream patterned dress was given to White House nanny Maud Shaw while Kennedy visited Shaw at her home in London, shortly after Shaw's retirement. Also included in the lot are 79 photographs owned by Shaw, featuring candid and revealing never before seen looks at the Kennedy family. Maternity-style dress features zippered rear closure, and measures 18'' across the chest. Also included is first edition copy of Shaw's account of her seven years with the Kennedy family, entitled ''White House Nanny'', published by Leslie Frewin: London: 1966. Shaw signs to front free endpaper, writing on 18 August 1967 ''To Rose / With happy memories of our long friendship / My very best wishes for you [illegible]. Toning and light creasing to the photographs. Dress is lightly worn, else near fine. Originally sold at Whyte's auctions in Dublin, Ireland.
