Blessing signed by Pope Pius XI, who ruled from 1922-1939. Black and white photo has hand-painted accents, matted with a calligraphed papal blessing dedicated to Dr. Jon Carry of St. Patrick's Church in Lowell, Massachusetts on 3 July 1931. Blessing is signed ''Pius PP XI'' next to the embossed papal seal. Measures 18'' x 26''. Light creasing, otherwise near fine.
