Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss, here signs a typed letter, dated 2 December 1971. He writes on his company Beginner Books' stationery, ''Dear Diddo: Thank you for your recent communiques. Thank you for coming up here. Thank you for bringing your father, whom I enjoyed meeting very much. Also, thank you for verifying the invitation for the afternoon of January 9th. I marked it down on my calendar, and Audrey and I will definitely try to make it if we are in town at that time. As of now, we are still running back and forth to Hollywood, but we hope things will let up. Happy Post Thanksgiving! Sincerely, [signed] Ted''. Letterhead includes the Beginner Books logo, which features a grinning Cat in the Hat. Measures 8.5'' x 11''. Creasing and ink notation to verso, else fine. Also includes handwritten envelope by Dr. Seuss, though likely not the envelope that accompanied this letter.
