Zane Grey handwrites and signs a check, dated 12 November 1930. Grey makes the check payable to ''John C. Laif'' for $12.75, drawn on the The Altadena National Bank. Grey's wife, Lina, would become president of this bank two years later. Grey, whose most popular novel, ''The Riders of the Purple Sage'', was published in 1912, published ''The Wolf Tracker'' the year of this check. Near fine.
