Military document signed by King George IV in 1815, while he served as Prince Regent in service of King George III. George III was ruled mentally unfit to serve as King in 1811, and his son Prince George signed his documents ''By Command of his Royal Highness The Prince Regent in the Name and on the Behalf of His Majesty'', until he took over the throne in 1820. This phrase is printed on the bottom of the document, with George signing in large handwriting to the upper left. Document is also signed by the Secretary of War for England and the colonies Lord Henry Bathurst. Vellum document measures 13'' x 9''. Folds, toning and dampstaining, along with 4 closed slits where seals of the English crown have been removed. Good plus.
