Famed FBI agent Eliot Ness signed check. Ness was the leader of ''The Untouchables'', the squad of federal agents tasked with bringing down Chicago gangster Al Capone, a feat they accomplished in 1934. Ness' handwritten check is dated 29 June 1947, payable for forty dollars and drawn on the Washington, D.C. branch of Riggs National Bank. Ness lists his Cleveland address to bottom left and signs in black ink. Measures 7.25'' x 3''. Standard bank cancellations, otherwise near fine. Rare.
