First edition of ''Around the World in 8 Days'' by aviators Wiley Post and Harold Gatty, signed by the authors. Rand McNally: New York: 1931. Post and Gatty became the fastest aviators to circumnavigate the globe, doing so in a record time of eight days, fifteen hours and fifty-one minutes in the summer of 1931. Both airmen sign their names to the title page, with Post signing in blue and Gatty signing in black. Bound in light green cloth boards with dark green lettering and world maps as endpapers. Runs 304pp. plus a section replicating the team's log book during the journey. Measures 6.25'' x 8.75''. Some sunning to boards and light toning to pages. Very good.
