Garth Williams Signed Print From the 1953 Edition of ''Little House on the Prairie'' -- Ma and Pa Drag Mr. Scott From the Bottom of the Well

Garth Williams illustration for Laura Ingalls Wilder's ''Little House on the Prairie'', initialed by the artist. Drawn for the 1953 reissue of the ''Little House'' series, this dramatic proof print shows Ma and Pa dredging Mr. Scott up from the bottom of the well after he passes out while testing the underground air. Sketch measures 5.5'' x 4.5'', the same size it appeared in the series, and is initialed in ink by Williams; ''3.05112'' is penciled on verso. Fine condition.
