Pearl Bailey signed photo postcard, postmarked 12 February 1969 during the height of her theatrical career. After making her debut in the Broadway show ''St. Louis Woman'' in 1946, Bailey went on to star in a variety of musicals, including the all-African-American cast version of ''Hello, Dolly!'' for which she won a Tony Award in 1968. Bailey signs ''Love Pearl Bailey'' in black marker upon the glossy photo. Measures 3.5'' x 5.5''. Creased corner, staple to photo and smudging to signature. Good condition.
