The story of the entrepreneurial rise of Penney was written by Norman Beasley and published by Whittlesey House, McGraw-Hill Book Company, Inc.: New York & Toronto: 1948. Signed upon the front free endpaper, '' J.C. Penney / 10/20 - 48.'' Book is bound in grey cloth boards. Light uniform toning, otherwise near fine. Housed in an unclipped dustjacket, showing the very first J.C. Penney store. Dustjacket is in fair condition.
