Rare, 1880 two-volume set of ''Life and Works of William Blake,'' edited by Alexander Gilchrist and published by Macmillan and Co.: London: 1880. This second edition, more valued than the first for its woodcut illustrations and expanded content, features elaborate gilt decorations on its boards, even called the most beautiful pictorials ever created. Two 6.5'' x 9.5'' volumes are in very good plus condition with cracking to the rear hinge of Volume II which also has some toned pages. An exquisite set, only 1,500 of which were printed.
